Which Photo Session Is Right for You? Let’s Keep It Simple!

One of the questions I get all the time is, “Which session should I book?”

And I get it! Nobody wants to spend 20 minutes comparing photography packages and trying to figure out exactly what they need. So, I thought I’d make it easy and give you a quick rundown of my main photo session options at Paula Mason Photography.

The good news is that there really is something for just about everyone, whether you need a few quick family pictures, a full senior session, or want me standing on the sidelines photographing your athlete!

📸 Mini Photo Session

Quick, easy and perfect when you just need a few great pictures!

• Up to 30 minutes
• Includes 10 high-resolution digital images
• Held at one of my designated locations in the Allen area
• Great for small families, couples, holiday photos and quick portrait updates
• Best for groups of 5 or fewer
• No complicated outfit changes or lots of different groupings
• Additional images and prints can be purchased from your online gallery

If you know exactly what you want and don’t need a lot of time, the Mini is a great little session. We get in, have some fun, get some great pictures, and you’re on your way!

📷 Standard Photo Session

A little more time and flexibility without making an entire evening out of it.

• Approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour
• Includes 25 high-resolution digital images
• Your choice of location in the Allen, McKinney, Plano, Frisco or Dallas area
• Great for families and simple senior sessions
• Time for different poses and a simple outfit change
• Props and pets are always welcome
• Additional images and prints can be purchased from your online gallery

The Standard Session is a great middle-of-the-road option. We have enough time to relax, move around and get plenty of variety without needing multiple locations or lots of wardrobe changes.

📸 Deluxe Photo Session

More time, more variety and more pictures!

• Up to 1½ hours
• Includes 50 high-resolution digital images
• Great for full senior sessions, extended families and newborn/lifestyle sessions
• Senior sessions can include two locations (in close proximity to each other)
• Plenty of time for several outfits and different looks
• Props and pets are welcome
• Additional images and prints can be purchased from your online gallery

If you’re planning a full senior session, want several different looks, or have a larger family, the Deluxe Session gives us room to slow down and have some fun with it.

🎓 Platinum Senior Photo Session

This is the BIG one for seniors who want the whole experience!

• Up to 3 locations
• Can be photographed over one or two days
• Includes 75+ edited images
• Lots of time for different outfits, locations and ideas
• Includes my All Access Pass, so you receive every edited image in your gallery
• Includes a complimentary 20-minute Mini Session to use on a separate date
• The bonus Mini can be used for something like family pictures, headshots or even pictures with a friend

This one is especially fun because we don’t have to cram everything into one afternoon. Want downtown pictures AND a prettyfield? Sports pictures? Cap and gown? Your dog? Your car? Three completely different outfits? We have time! And this session can be customized in a way that works for you.

It’s a senior session that’s really built around you and your family’s needs.

🏀 Sports Photography

And yes, I photograph sports too! Actually, I LOVE photographing sports.

I have several options for a sports photo session depending on whether you’re looking for coverage for an entire team or just one athlete.

• Deluxe Team Sports Session for all-inclusive team game coverage
• À La Carte Team Sports Session for teams that would rather let individual parents purchase the images they want
• Featured Player Package for an athlete who wants the camera focused primarily on them
• Great for action shots, sideline moments and all those little parts of the game you don’t always get to see from the stands
• Featured Player sessions are also a fun option for athletes who want images for social media, memories or college recruiting
• The Deluxe and A La Carte packages can be used for team photos (think media day) situations as well. These are great, especially when you can split the cost between families on the team.

🚗 What About College Seniors and Travel?

I absolutely travel!

Standard, Deluxe and Platinum Sessions include locations throughout my regular service area around Allen, McKinney, Plano, Frisco and Dallas, including nearby college campuses such as UNT, SMU and UTD.

And if your senior is away at college, don’t assume you’re too far away! I also travel to campuses outside the DFW area for college senior sessions. Texas A&M, Baylor, TCU, OU, OSU, Arkansas, Texas Tech and others are all possibilities. Deluxe Photo Sessions are best for this, as it gives you plenty of time to take pictures of your graduate (and your family members if they are there) in two different locations on or near your campus.

Travel fees depend on the distance, and here’s my favorite tip: find another senior who wants pictures the same day and split the travel fee! It makes it much more affordable, and taking pictures with your roommate or a bestie is so fun!!
