There are some photography sessions that feel extra special, and my recent trip to Texas A&M University was definitely one of them. I recently traveled from Allen, Texas down to College Station to photograph two graduating seniors at Texas A&M, and it turned out to be one of my favorite senior sessions.
These two seniors have been friends for a long time, so instead of doing separate sessions they decided to book their sessions together and make a full experience out of it. They each scheduled a Platinum Senior Session, which meant we spent two different times (over two days) photographing their Aggie senior pictures around campus.
And when you’re in College Station taking Texas A&M senior photos, there are so many meaningful and fun places to go.
Aggie Senior Pictures Around Campus
Before I arrived, the boys created a list of their favorite places at Texas A&M. Not just the iconic spots everyone recognizes, but the places that meant something to them personally during their time at the university. Over our two sessions, we explored campus and took pictures at the locations that represented their college experience.
Some of the locations included:
- Favorite study spots on campus
- Beautiful areas around the Texas A&M campus grounds
- Meaningful places where they spent time with friends
- Classic Aggie photo locations
- Graduation cap and gown locations
- And of course, locations that I thought had “good light” and looked pretty 🙂
They had a couple of outfits, which allowed us to capture a lot of variety in their galleries:
- Casual campus outfits (jeans and boots)
- Texas A&M spirit wear
- Classic senior portraits
- Graduation cap & gown photos
And because they did the sessions together, we were able to capture fun best-friend photos as well.
By the end of the two sessions together, each senior walked away with:
- A full gallery of Texas A&M senior photos
- Beautiful Aggie graduation portraits
- Tons of fun best friend pictures together
Those friendship photos ended up being some of the most meaningful images from the entire session.
Traveling for College Senior Photos
After this trip to Texas A&M, I realized something. College senior photo sessions on campus are incredibly meaningful, and they deserve the same attention and creativity that we give high school senior sessions. So I’m now offering college senior photo sessions for universities within 2–3 hours of the Dallas / Allen area. For this, you will need to book a Deluxe or Platinum Session.
This will work for schools such as:
- Texas A&M University
- Baylor University
- Texas State University
- University of North Texas
- Texas Christian University
- SMU
- UTD
- and many other nearby colleges (including several in Oklahoma)
