What an exciting and educational adventure I had assisting Paula Mason at a session for bridal portraits a few weeks ago (my first)! I must admit, going into it, I was a little nervous. So many questions were going through my head…how will I remember all the details? Will the bride be demanding? Will the venue be right (enough light), and so much more…
As we all know, this is such an exciting time for a bride, so we wanted the pictures and the experience to be a very memorable one. Well, I can tell you that it was so much fun! The bride was beautiful, kind, and open to all of our suggestions for posing without hesitation. Paula and I had talked about all the details to watch for during a session with a bride – wrinkles in the train, make sure the veil is falling softly, tiny hairs out of place, make sure hands are placed so her ring is showing, etc… So many little details to remember…
Was her hair exactly the way she would want it? And even more important, will she be satisfied with the outcome of her photo shoot? As most of us know, we all want a day this important to be just perfect for her.
Did I mention the location? For those of you who have not been to Adriatica in McKinney to see the Bella Donna Chapel, it is a must see! The quaint chapel surrounded by water with it’s stone exterior, beveled stained glass windows and antique pews will take your breath away!
Although we don’t typically do bridal sessions, if all brides are like this one, then count me in! So if we can help you out with bridal portraits, engagement photos, or anything else you need, we’d love for you to reach out. As always, you can find us over at Paula Mason Photography.
Hope to see you soon!
