It’s about time to start thinking about family photos again, but where should you take them? If you haven’t been to Connemara Meadow Nature Preserve, it’s definitely a place you should add to your list of places to visit in Allen.
I discovered this area a few years back when I was out on my bike. I wasn’t at all sure what I had found, but as I ventured in farther, I realized that I had stumbled across a hidden gem right in the middle of Allen.
Not only is it one of my favorite places to go on a short hike, but it is also a beautiful backdrop for family photos. There are so many different areas to explore at Connemara. You can take your family photos in and around the meadow, and it will look like you had family photos taken taken at several different locations.
Connemara has wide open fields, tree lined paths, small hills, a creek, and a really cool, metal bridge. All of these elements in one place make for great photos! Plenty of trees, open grass, fun gravel pathways, and a creek.
Just don’t plan your pictures here after a big rain unless you’re not interested in being out in the fields. The fields become very muddy and swamp like after a good rain. But when it’s dry, bring a cute blanket and let’s find a nice, cozy spot for your family photos!
If you haven’t visited this area, you should add it to your list. And if you’re looking to take a family photo in an area that looks like you’re somewhere other than in the middle of the city, this might be the place for you!
