“Sweet Sixteen” isn’t a photo session I specifically offer on my website, but when this mom contacted me about a “senior session” for her 16 year old daughter, I thought I might need to add that to my list of sessions to choose from…
Her daughter (due to the pandemic restrictions) was not able to have a Sweet 16 celebration like she had planned, so they decided that it might be fun to schedule a photo session to document this momentous occasion. What a great idea!
We met in downtown McKinney, a perfect place to explore with a happy, energetic, and confident 16 year old. Her energy was wonderful, and we had so much fun roaming around looking for fun places to take pictures.
This session took place on a nice, quiet Sunday morning. We practically had the entire square to ourselves. It was so fun. We never had to pause for photo bombers to pass or wait for our turn at some of the more popular spots to take pictures.
It was perfect. And now she has a wonderful portfolio of pictures to document her 16th birthday. Instead of focusing on the fact that she couldn’t have the party she had wanted to, she could remember the fun we had taking all these photos. Oh to be 16 again…
