A Very Special Graduation Session…

I had the privilege last week to take a few photos for a wonderful family! It was so exciting, because this mom of 3 wonderful children had received her diploma from Collin College in Plano! What an accomplishment. It was such a happy occasion, and we were able to find some really cute spots on the campus to take some graduation pictures.

Because of COVID-19, we were not able to get inside of the buildings, unfortunately. But luckily, there were several nice places around the outside of the campus where she was able to pose in her cap and gown with her diploma. We also found some nice spots to take a few family photos, with her very proud husband and children.

This session was meant to be, because the weather had been pretty questionable all day, but it cleared up just before we were to meet. As we began the session, clouds were rolling in, just south of where we were shooting. The front created a nice breeze for us on an otherwise very hot, muggy day! Just as we were finishing up, we heard the thunder and saw the lightning getting closer and closer. I was so happy that we had timed everything just right.

I cannot imagine having the drive and focus right now to accomplish what Barbara did. Studying seems impossible these days (and at my age). Completing course work in addition to finding the time to drive 3 kiddos from event to event is something I’m not sure I could do. I’m so impressed with her.

It’s always fun to take pictures to document events as special as this one. I could see how proud she was of her accomplishment, as well as how proud her family was of the diploma she was holding in her hands. Congratulations on a job well done, Barbara! So excited for you and your next adventures.
