Carson’s Crusaders Really Did Brighten the Night!

Sometimes in life, you are presented with an amazing opportunity to be a part of something so meaningful to so many. I was so happy when this happened to me recently.

I received a message from my children’s amazing and wonderful 1st grade teacher asking me if I’d be interested in donating some time (with my camera) to the Carson’s Crusaders event that she was hosting at Cross Creek Ranch. Many of you are probably familiar with this event. It is known as Brighten The Night, and it is absolutely amazing!

I had heard of Carson’s Crusaders and knew of it because of the posts I’d seen on Facebook, but did not know the details or the story behind the foundation. Well…now I do, and I feel so blessed to have been a part of such a wonderful event.

Carson’s Crusaders Foundation was started to honor the memory of Carson Richardson. He lost his battle with cancer in 2010 at the age of 7. It was founded by Carson’s mom and dad, Kimberly and Ryan, and his grandfather, George Richardson. You can read more about it on the Carson’s Crusaders Website.

I’m sure after reading all about Carson, you can easily understand why I was so happy to be asked to take pictures at their 9th Annual Brighten the Night Gala & Live Auction. What a wonderful way to spend an evening. Lots of laughter, lots of tears, and a large group of wonderful people coming together to support this amazing foundation.
