Keep Austin Weird. I see this on bumper stickers and t-shirts all over the place, but since I haven’t spent much time in Austin, I didn’t really completely understand it.

After spending a weekend exploring the area and looking for fun spots to take senior photos, I think I understand it a little more now. What a fun city!

Where did the time go? Hard to believe she’s graduating from college!

Very different from what I’m used to out in Allen. It’s got a unique vibe to it with lots of “joints” all over the place.

The first day of shooting started off cold and drizzly, but later in the afternoon, the drizzle stopped, and we were able to find some fun spots and take some great photos.

The second day of shooting had great weather. It was much warmer and had much better light. The sun was actually out and not hidden behind thick, gloomy clouds.

It was lots of fun roaming around campus. But I think we might’ve picked the wrong weekend. There was a home game on Saturday, so our great idea of taking pictures on campus Saturday morning turned out to be not so great. We still managed to get some wonderful pictures though.

If you have an opportunity to travel to Austin for a photoshoot, I would say go for it. It was fun exploring a new area and finding some really neat locations to take pictures.

I’m ready for my next photo adventure! Who wants to be my subject? I think I might start advertising myself as “the traveling photographer.” What fun that would be. A new place every week or so? Maybe an exotic beach? Let me know…I’m available.

Wonder if my family would go for that? I’ll keep you posted.

And remember…let’s Keep Austin Weird! Oh…and a BIG thanks to Alley for trusting me to take pictures for her on this special occasion!!

Until next time…
