Now that I have a middle schooler and a 4th grader, I can see that my time of having cute little Halloween mini photo sessions with them in their costumes is almost over…

So very sad. Halloween is not my favorite holiday by any means, but I sure do love the pictures I’ve gotten over the years of them in their cute little costumes, and as you can see below, princesses and baseball players were our most popular costumes…

For the first time this year, my middle schooler chose not to dress up and trick or treat. I offered to get him any costume he wanted, but he politely declined. I understood this to also mean that he would not be posing for any pictures. Breaks my little photographer’s heart…

So now I’m down to one who wants to dress up and trick or treat. Fortunately, this year she had a friend with her, and they were both willing to indulge my little Halloween mini photo session before heading out to chase down some candy!

Something about kids in costumes. Even if it is my little “angel” dressed in “Daisy Duke” shorts and high heeled hiking boots. Wouldn’t have been the costume I would have chosen for her, but she did look pretty cute. I think it’s because she chose not to wear the white fish-net stockings she had to match her wings…

I wonder sometimes if there are any little kids in my neighborhood that I could rent for Halloween mini photo sessions? I sure hope so, because I’m going to miss this time once we’re done here…

Enjoy this stage if you’re currently in it, because it doesn’t last long. Take pictures while you can. Now it’s time for me to go find some yummy candy to steal from my daughter’s trick or treating bucket while she’s still at school!

Until next time….

Here are a few, fun cell phone pictures from our adventure this year! Enjoy…
